August 22nd Picks

Hey all,

Tonight is going to be a pretty plain post as well. I figured I could at least put something up. I will have my picks for tonight but no overview. I hope you had a good weekend and had a good week picking.

August 20th pick results-

Aston Villa- Won 3-1
Mexico-       Won 3-1
Phillies-       Won 5-0
Braves-       Won 8-1
Brazil-         Won 3-2

Record for day 5-0

Record for the month 32-4

I think tomorrow I will have this blog back to normal. I was just taking this weekend off. Tonight I will just do what I did for Saturdays picks and just simply give you some leads...

The Potential Picks-

Orebro-
Detroit- I didn't see this one at first. With Verlander pitching this should be a pretty solid pick
Atlanta-

Sorry this blog has been so plain the last couple days. Thanks for your patience. I should have this thing back to full potential tomorrow

  1. I hate to be so cynical but the blog for Saturday is a joke. You have up a bunch of potential picks and then you never post what the picks are for Saturday. Then on Sunday you change the potential to your actual picks for the blog and add 5 wins to your total.

Are you kidding? If you want people to follow this blog and support you you are going to have to do a lot better than that. If I picked the way you pick I would have been 10-0 for Saturday.

  2. alot of your picks start at the same time, i wish you would spread your picks out so we could use more

  3. Unknown, I actually made all of those picks on Saturday. I hardly used my Strekhelper entry this weekend. I just kinda use it to mess around with. The only pick I made was the Atlanta pick and didn't sign back in until today. On my personal entry, I made Aston, Mexico, Phillies, and finished with Brazil. I took my own advice. And I'm sure you would have been 10-0 Saturday. It was a really good day for everyone and most of the favorites pulled through.

Fedexict, I try to find games spread apart, but I just dont want to make junk picks on games I'm not completely sure about. I have kept that in mind and I always try to spread out a pick or analyze 2 (sometimes 3) good picks at the same time to help people choose between the 2 (or 3)

  4. Whoops not Phillies but the other 3. Aston, Mexico, and Brazil. I thought the Phillies were a great pick to though. If not for Mexico I would have.

  5. On Saturday you had "Potential Picks" and today you have it changed to "Picks". Potential to me means what you were thinking of picking. When did you change them from Potential Picks to Picks? I checked several times late Saturday night and early Saturday morning and they were still listed as "Potential Picks".

  6. For Monday you have two "Potential Picks". Are those your picks for Monday?

  7. I also said I would ad whatever picks I made to my record. I only checked this blog once over this weekend and never updated what I chose. Aside from the Phillies (which I wish I could have picked and would have added them to a blog post if I had done my typical writeup), I made all of those picks.

  8. Not questioning if you made the picks or not for yourself. In the past you have listed your picks and then possible picks. Now you are doing potential picks. Today you are counting potential picks as your picks for your blog record.

If the point is to help others pick then you might want to consider sticking to one format.

For example for Monday you list 2 potential picks and you say "Tonight I will just do what I did for Saturdays picks and just simply give you some leads... Well are these 2 picks just leads, possible picks or the picks you are making for Monday?

  9. This weekend was a little different. I wasn't going to post anything but I just threw some stuff up in case it helped someone. I'm going to go back to my original format tonight though. Those picks are just something new for this weekend, Just games I think will be decent/good picks. I didnt want to have to worry about writing about them or sorting things out.

  10. wow. STFU unknown. This man is here to help whoever would like his help. If you do not like the way he does things then LEAVE! Its that simple. Quit your bitching.

  11. Unknown, stop bashing him. Nobody is forcing you to look at his blog. If you don't like the format then GTFO, he threw out some picks and said he would add them to the record whether they won or lost. In my opinion it was pretty clear.

  13. its a free blog where he is offering his advice/insight on certain props. If you don't like it then you don't have to look at it. It's that simple. This is a FREE website and takes a lot of work.

  15. sorry streakhelper. I did not know it was a problem to you. If you would like I would appreciate it if you could post the link for the followers when you take the day off. I am planning on writing everyday so you can just tell them to check out mine and than everyone is happy.....
I do NOT want to take away your followers as if you look at my site you can even see that it shows.

  18. When someone decides to have a public blog, then everyone who reads it has the right to an opinion!
I agree with Unknown 100%. Originally, I liked the blog because taking credit for "picks" wins was right. However, a "potential pick" is "not a pick" and taking credit for those games is just not right. And for everyone else who says "if you do not like it, then leave the blog", that is not the point. We all have the right to an opinion.

  19. cvette05 You are absolutely right. We are just simply trying to give you the correct opinion. ;)

You need to re-read my post for Saturday. If I had lost those games you wouldn't be cmplaining about me putting them up. They were up for a reason. That reason being they were solid picks. I took the weekend off and didn't write an overview for each one. I put them up and didn't check the blog till that evening but didn't update it till Sunday. I was careful which picks I put up. The post clearly says that win or lose I would put them to my pick record. I understand your statement and I feel like I have explained it pretty clearly. Your welcome for your leads. All I have to say.
